Today, the North Fork Valley and Surface Creek areas are speckled with orchards and wineries. You’ll love the fun at Paonia’s Cherry Days Festival, Cedaredge’s Applefest, and Delta’s Deltarado Days. Some of the best hunting and fishing are found here, and there are so many different areas to explore. Take the boat out on Crawford Reservoir or Sweitzer Lake. The Grand Mesa just outside Cedaredge offers endless lakes and forest land to venture through. Powderhorn Mountain Resort’s ski area is a short drive over the mesa. The Gunnison and Uncompahgre Rivers meet in Delta; be sure to check out Confluence Park and explore this hidden gem. There is so much to enjoy in Delta, and the people are so friendly.
